objectivism: a trick of manipulation

i define this as the belief that one can ascertain reality as it really is in itself to the satisfaction of all honest inquirers. that reality is so clearly defined that all people of good will can see it the same

as opposed to objectivism is subjectivism which says that our beliefs have a lot to do w. the way we perceive reality. extreme subjectivism (absolute idealism) states that our beliefs create what we believe & therefore we all have our own reality

objectivism is the realm of authority figures such as teachers who shame us if we dont totally agree w. them. its no wonder that forced schooling was followed so closely in time by totalitarianism

objectivism is closely related to absolutism for if we insist on everyone agreeing w. us we declare our beliefs or 'knowledge' to be absolute
